Priority Axis 3 - Promoting an Equal and Inclusive Labour Market

Operational Programme II - Priority Axis 3 specifically aims to promote the uptake of stable and quality employment by persons who find difficulty in participating in the labour market.

The financial allocation for this Priority Axis amounts to €36,900,000, of which €31,365,000 are Community Funding (European Social Fund).


Operational Objectives

This Priority Axis aims to reach a number of operational objectives:

  1. To increase the female participation rate.
  2. To contribute towards the integration, retention and progression of disadvantaged groups in the labour market, whilst addressing labour market distortions.


Broad Target Groups

The broad target groups of this axis, per operational objective, are:

  1. Women; parents; general public.
  2. Inactive people; disadvantaged groups; persons with disabilities; persons with mental health difficulties; migrants and asylum-seekers; parents; educators; social workers; persons receiving benefits; the labour force. 


Focus Areas of Intervention

The focus areas of intervention identified by this Priority Axis are:

  • Female participation in the labour market.
  • Promoting an inclusive society.
  • Addressing labour market distortions and ensuring that work pays.
  • Innovative activities.
